Jane and the Dragon
Jane and the Dragon is a CGI Animated series produced by WETA Workshop in the year of 2005.
It portrays the life of a 12 year-old Jane Turnkey, who is a squire to the old and wise Sir Theodore Boarmaster. It follows her journeys and adventures with her 300 year-old Dragon, and also follows the lives of the members of the castle staff, which includes Smithy, Jester, Rake and Pepper, whom are all friends of Jane.

Jane, along with her family and friends live in England, in a small kingdom called Kippernium.
The castle in which they lived in was called Kippernia Castle.
According to the "Jane and the Dragon Royal Archives", the castle was first called "Goodwater Castle", after the town.
The castle was built in the 500's, and protected its inhabitants for at least 300 years.
The kingdom was first ruled by a King Aldric in the year of 512; after the castle was completed.
Then, in the year of 700, King Bartok was crowned as king,
and in the late 730s, the kingdom was attacked by a neighboring kingdom. It was known as "The Long Siege".
The third king to rule was King Cedric, the son of the late King Bartok ( Bartok died in exile).
The fourth king to rule was King Rathbone, known as "Caradoc" (The real Caradoc was the older brother of the king, but he died as a kid).
Jane
Turnkey
12 year old Jane Turnkey is the daughter of the Royal Chamberlain and the Lady-in-Waiting.
According the backstory, she was to be trained as a lady-in-waiting, but she found that unappealing, and wanted to become a knight. She told the king, but he laughed. And so did everyone else, except the royal jester.
Jester supported Jane, and gave her his suit of armor.

Soon, a rampaging dragon captured the 6 year-old Prince Cuthbert.
Jane ventured to the dragon's cave to save the prince, and to slay the dragon.
Indeed, Jane saved the prince, however, instead of slaying the dragon, she befriends him.
Because of Dragon's help, the prince was returned to the safety of the castle.
And as for Jane, the king made her a knight.

Verbena
Salter
Verbena Salter, also known as "Pepper", is the 12-year-old cook.
She is the same age as Jane, although she has a more womanly figure.
She was born in the year of 800, and as a young child, she lived in the
village with her parents, above the ropemaker's shoppe, which is
located at the wharf. Pepper's father works on the loading docks and
is a fisherman. Her mother works in the smoking sheds.
When she was 7-8 years old, Pepper was sent to the castle
to seek work and was then trained as cook's apprentice.
In the year of 811, as castle staff was reduced, Pepper remained
as the only kitchen maid, and has a full order of the kitchens.
Pepper is as sweet as her name sounds.
She is very kind, loving, gentle, generous,
forgiving, optimistic, romantic, and most of all, motherly.
She cares about the feelings of others and is
always willing to lend a hand.
Like most girls, she dreams about falling in love.
Which that dream came true; ever since she had
met Rake, who was the castle gardener.
Pepper also want to get married and have a large brood
of children. (I wonder how many kids she will have...)
